This is the original artwork for the cover of the first Wasted compilation published by Alamat Comics in 1998. It’s one of the very few pieces of Wasted art that’s still around. As a few of my friends would remember, nearly all of the original art to Wasted was destroyed in a fire that consumed the offices of Pulp Magazine back in 2001.

I still have all the original art to the covers of the original mini comics, the ads, and 4 interior pages. But that’s pretty much it. When it first happened I really didn’t feel anything. I thought it was just all right. But as time went on I started to get really bummed about it. I wasn’t proud of the quality of artwork, but I’m very proud of what Wasted eventually came to mean to me.

    Gerry,
True to its name, it got WASTED in the fire. Maybe it was Kismet, Fate, predestination, etal.
