New Funny Komiks!

A new issue of Funny Komiks has just come out. At first I thought I missed an issue, but seeing now that this is numbered #1406, and the previous issue I featured was #1405, I can say it’s been a month since the first issue came out. Scheduled to be released twice a month, I hope this doesn’t mean there’s something wrong going on. I hope this relaunch lasts much much longer than the now dead Caparas Komiks.

I’m glad to see Gagambino series from OFW Super Stories is getting new life on TV at least. I certainly hope that Gagambino artist Karl Comendador is being given co-creator credit for that series and is being compensated accordingly. If not, I hope Carlo Caparas is aware that comics is a collaborative medium not only in words but in actions. That’s DUE COMPENSATION as a collaborator, and not just a “Balato”. Give Karl Comendador his due!

Wow, what a way to digress! Anyway, here’s the line up for this issue’s Funny Komiks:

    I don’t know if its just me but the artwork and paneling of Itok reminds me of Bata Batuta’s Biboy.

    I think it’s just Carlo J. Caparas’ Gagambino on the title of the GMA 7 series.

    Not surprising though. :P

    Interesting talaga para sa ‘kin style ni Freely. Too bad old school pa rin ang coloring nila sa interior.

    Gagambino? Mas interesting pa si Gagambala. :P

    oo nga, ok style ni freely… parang duck edwing ng mad magazine. ‘yung interior colors, newsprint yata ang papel kaya kailangan flat colors lang. mukhang hindi colorsep, ukit lang.

    Cute drawings of kids on the cover. Many artists can’t draw kids, just like many artists can’t draw women. This one definitely draws children well. Who’s the artist?

    nakailang panood na ko ng interview about gagambino pero di ko man lang narinig name ni Karl Comendador.. ganun talaga.. hainaku.. now ko lang nalaman na me new issue ang funny komiks.. teka.. diba yang itok e galing sa cjc komiks.. saka main series ata yan.. tama ba.. hmm.. naiss ko mga articles mo sir.. buti naman galing ka na..

    naka ilang version at rehash na ba si Niknok, na naging Eklok, related ba siya kay Itok ?

    bakit nasa gitna pa ng cover yung logo ng Ghostbusters? ano kaya ng nais mangyari ng naglagay nito doon ?

    Wow! nagbalik na pala ang FUNNY KOMIKS naalala ko pa rin nag-paparkila kami ng komiks noong 1978 at sabi pa ng nanay ko “anak may bagong komiks o pambata” at nagustuhan ko dito yung gawa ng idol kong si Larry Alcala ang BING BAM BUNG at swerte naman nung 1988 lumabas dito yung gawa kong BABOL GANG – balak kong ibalik ang BABOL GANG ko dito hehe!

    sir, walang available na funny komiks sa lugar namin kahit saang news stand ako magpunta, nagdaan din ako minsan sa national bookstore at patuloy pang nagpapatingin pero wala talaga

    meron po ba silang subscription na ino offer?
    kung meron man po pwedeng malaman kung paano mag subscribe sa kanila? wala rin po akong mahiraman dito dahil wala rin silang mabilhan

    kasi nung bata po ako dito ako nahasang magbasa ng tagalog, gusto ko sanang pabasahin din yung kapatid ko na nagsisimula palang matutong magbasa

    maraming salamat sa info sir gerry,

    dito ko rin po unang nabasa na nagbalik pala ang funny komiks , ang akala ko nga ay maraming issue na akong nakaligtaan dahil sa twice a month na sinabi nila

    sana may mabili pa ako nung unang issue

    Well, I missed this one. I didnt find out that ipinagpatuloy to. Bakit wala ang A.X III? They should finish that one! sayang naman kasi… 3 seasons na yun eh
