The Intrepid Torpedo!
Filed Under Philippine Comics | 4 Comments
Once in a while I come across a comic book that makes me laugh. The Intrepid Torpedo by Aris B. Panganiban is one of them. Granted the art needs a lot of work, but it serves the purpose of telling the story well, it’s definitely a very fun read. The great thing about it is, you can read all 20 pages of the first issue online. The story is complete, and can be read in a few minutes. I assure you, they’re a few minutes you would not want back, because reading it all worth it.

I myself was initially hesitant to read all this online, but for some reason, the subtitle “He Fears No Man… except ONE WOMAN!” somehow got to me and reading it was something I didn’t regret.
Even though this is hosted on a Friendster blog, you don’t need to register to read it.

Wow! Ang galing nung komiks ni Aris! One of the best, funniest, and heartwarming Filipino comics I’ve read in quite a while. Sana nga ma-publish ito into regular comics format.
This was also one of the best reads I’ve had in quite a while. I downloaded it immediately when it was first posted on the old PKMB. Hat’s off to Aris Panganiban!
Gerry,
Sabi mo the art needs a lot of work, I’ll agree the figures probably needs some work, but that will come in time, mahahasa din yan, however, the guy sure can color. Rod
Yeah, the artwork needs some polishing indeed, but on second look, I think that Aris’ art here is just perfect for the humor and gaiety of his story….Well, just my two cents worth :)
