Actually, I’d like to see the cover in black and white. Personally, I like Nino better in black and white. I wish that first page shown on the blog, which was black and white, were bigger and sharper. I’ll look for it come September.

I actually like the colors (both versions). It doesn’t conflict with the art in the sense that it doesn’t hide the beautiful line work (which many colorists tend to do). It gives proper recognition to the art. The bold pastel will also make it stand out in store shelves, apart from the usual fare.

Nino is back with his inimitable stylized drawing. However, the colors that was used by the colorist, reds, yellows, oranges and fuchias in sweet pastel shades does not go well with the macabre images. Comparatively, Gerry did a better coloring job in his Liquid City example shown below that fits with the dreary and tragic events he’s showing. Notice his dark clouds, compared to the azure skies in the Nino illustration.
