Alex Niño’s Mikrobyo

It’s been a while since I posted some komiks art. Here’s an awesome page by Alex Niño from Pinoy Komiks #71, published by GASI on January 27, 1966. Thanks to Dennis Villegas for this page, who considers this one of his favorite Niño pieces, and is considered by writer Tony Velasquez as “a work of genius”. Dennis provides further commentary here.

I first came across the comic book which contained this short story when I received a very old compilation of Pinoy Komiks from my father in law Rudy Florese. I was so impressed by this artwork that I included it as part of my first attempt at an online museum in 1999. It can still be seen here.
