Oras Mo Na Cover

Rudy Florese’s ORAS MO NA! begins this Thursday, March 28.

Compared to many Filipino komiks serials of the 70′s and 80′s which had hundreds of parts (each part is 4 pages), Oras Mo Na is relatively short at 33 parts. Rudy preferred writing stories that were short, to the point, and have definite endings. Ironically, Rudy himself was the artist on probably the longest Filipino komiks serial in history, “…at sumanib ang Langis Sa Tubig!“, written by Marty Gee Aragon, which, at last publication, was running more than 1000 parts. The serial was so long that it was never finished because of the closure of the komiks publishing division of G. Miranda and Sons. The writer reportedly still has a large stack of scripts yet to be illustrated at the time.

Oras Mo Na! will be serialized here for 33 weeks, as it was originally published.

    Wow, hanep, I can’t wait for this. I never saw this before and I never knew how good Rudy Florese was, just judging from his two covers that you’ve shown. I’ll have to dig out my Korak’s to take another look at his illustrations. Rod

    Isa si Rudy Florese sa mga KINOPYA ng sangkatutak na mga kabataang artists noon.

    He even gave me some of his originals kaya lang naumit ng ilang mga kakilala ko.

    Sa kanyang kapanahunan, ang laki ng porsiyento ng mga kabataang nangopya sa kanya. He was a fantastic artist. Maski tambak ang gawa niya, hindi nawawala ang details.

    can’t wait to re-read this serial. i really enjoyed reading this back in high school!

    naaalala ko yong “at sumanib ang Langis Sa Tubig” sa Wakasan, kung ilang beses ang Bilang # ng komiks, yon din halos ang number ng series!
