Slight Update, Free Comic Book Day

You would have probably noticed slight updates to the design of the blog. I realized that there might be people who come here who have no idea who I am so I thought I’d place some info on the left column. I added a clickable gallery of my work right at the very top, and links to where some of my work can be bought. I also added an “Events Where I’ll Be” section where I list signings, conventions, talks and other stuff I’ll be going to, as well as micro-blogging via Twitter.

Early next month I’ll be at Comic Odyssey Robinson’s Galleria for Free Comic Book Day where I’ll be promoting and signing Graphic Classics Special Edition 2008, which is FREE, while supplies last. For that book I contributed a 12 page story adapting “The Black Cat” by Edgar Allan Poe.

Aside from Graphic Classics, I’m also promoting ELMER by bringing 50 copies of Elmer #3 to the store to be given away for FREE! I can do quick Elmer sketches for free, but for more involved drawings there will be a fee involved. Check the store for more info.

Edgar Tadeo will be signing with me and he shares us his plans for FCBD. This might be your chance to own some Spawn original art by Philip Tan and Edgar!

I myself won’t be selling original art at the event. But for anyone interested, I’ll be updating my original comics art for sale section soon.

    Wish I could be there Gerry.. Don’t think we even got to chat at all last when I went back, would love to just hangout next time XD….

    Not even sure if I will be doing anything here… might try to attend the Comic Odyssey here in Pasadena but not so sure with all these deadlines…

    Yes, everyone do try and attend Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 3 at our Robinsons Galleria branch. Event will start at approximately 12pm. Although the Free Comic Book day logo comics will be limited to 3 per customer this year, we will be giving out thousands and thousands of other comics for FREE. We will also be giving out Gerry’s Graphic Classics Special Edition 2008 to the first 200 people in attendance. Both Gerry and Edgar will be available for commissioned sketches that day for a minimal charge. Due to time constraints, we will be accepting advance reservations on the sketches beginning a week before Free Comic Book Day.
