Notable Comics Releases This Month

Carlo Vergara announced on his blog that Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo’s Trese will be released through Visual Print. The first volume, compiling the first four issues of the series, will be out later this month at bookstores and comics stores. I did know about this release for quite some time, but I was sworn to secrecy by Budjette. But since Carlo talked about it, I just want to… ahem.. help it along here, just so people who are interested in this comic book will have something to look forward to.

Jamie Bautista and Arnold Arre will also release “Private Iris“, which is a title for all ages. There will be a launching on April 19 at Fully Booked in Bonifacio Heights.

Gilbert Monsanto has just released Tropa #2. Tropa #2 has personal significance for me because it includes a page which I inked over Gilbert. After quitting inking back in December 2005, I’ve declined offers to ink all sorts of comic books, but I agreed to ink this one page from Gilbert’s book. That’s because Gilbert’s a pal and I owe him a bit of inking.

Waiting with bated breath for Sindak! I really hope it comes out soon. The timing would be perfect, since it has a Trese article that comes along with it.

Hopefully the plans of one other group to release something this month pushes through, but I’m not really holding my breath.

Of course, my Timawa series continues on the pages of The Buzz Magasin, out later this month.

    Wow. Thanks for the info sir. Hope Trese will be available in bookstores here in Cebu the soonest. Your merchandise is more accessible due to your Komikero Online. Kudos!
