October Komiks Events! (UPDATED!)

Right off the bat on October 1, 2011 (That’s TODAY!), The Second Cebu Comics Convention is being held at the University of the Philippines, Cebu. Click on this page for more info. Event Page on Facebook.

I wish they would update their official site though, at least for the benefit of those not on Facebook.

On October 8, the much awaited fourth TRESE Book will be launched at the National Book Store Best Sellers at the 4th floor of the Robinson’s Galleria, Ortigas. On hand to sign copies will be creators Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo! Click here for info on items exclusive to the event.

On October 22 is the first GTMACCON, which will feature a Filipino Indie Comic Book Character Competition. This will be held at the SM San Lazaro, Upper Ground Floor Level Center. Finally a cosplay event that will feature fully Filipino created characters. I’m still hoping I can attend this one, but at the moment it’s hard to tell. I will try my best though, as this is something I would really love to see.

ELMER 2nd Edition will also have a launching/signing in October, but plans are still being finalized and once I all is set, I will make an announcement, including who the publisher of this second edition will be. And it’s going to be HUGE. Stay tuned!
