More Crescent Shield

It turns out that Crescent Shield’s first CD, “The Last of My Kind” was quite a success and they’re now working on their second album. And again they want me to do the cover for it! Absolutely cool! Definitely, I said yes. Not only are they a really cool bunch of people, but I feel very nostalgic when I listen to their music. I like to listen to that stuff back when I was younger, and surprisingly, when I’m in the right mood, I still love listening and rocking to it.
I’m just waiting to hear the material on their new album, and hear what their general concept for it so I can begin thinking about how I’ll approach doing the cover. I’m very excited about this because I’ve since learned a few tricks with my art that I can apply to this new cover.

LA’s CRESCENT SHIELD is working on the follow-up for their great late-2006 release, The Last of My Kind. The new album will be released by Cruz Del Sur after summer 2008, but some details are beginning to be unveiled such as that the album will be entitled, The Stars of Never Seen, and Gerry Alanguilan (Marvel/DC), after the excellent result of his cover-illustration for The Last of My Kind, will be again responsible of the artwork.

Jerry,
Hell yeah Last of my Kind was a success, not monetarily but in every other way! I’m looking forward to working with you again. I hope you can come up with a great concept again. We need you even more this time becasue our cover concepts so far are crap (don’t tell my singer) ha ha!!! I’ll be in touch soon.

I checked CS’s music in YouTube and they sound good. Really very clean and they kinda sound like Iron Maiden. They sure are proud not just of their music but of your artwork as well.

Do you think your artwork, like this one, would ever come out in t-shirts? I’d certainly get one if there’s anything out there.
More power to you.
