Ok, this post has nothing to do with comics. I really don’t talk about politics or religion in this blog, unless it has something to do with comics. But I would like to make an exception now. If talk of RELIGION puts you off or offends you in any way, please feel free to skip this blog post as I’m not interested in any religious debate. I’m simply putting down what I believe so you guys can have this understanding of who I am.

My wife Ilyn recently wrote an article on her blog about being Catholic with regards to the RH Bill. She does not say whether she is for or against the bill, but she has a lot to say about the Catholic Church’s behavior in this whole affair. And you know what? I completely agree with her. It’s what I had been thinking about for such a long time and I’ve been trying to mull over what to say. She went ahead and said everything I wanted to say, and she said it pretty well. If you have time, please go on ahead and visit her blog at the link below.

Ok…I Really Have to Talk About This…
http://paper-basket.blogspot.com/2011/04/ok-i-really-have-to-talk-about-this.html

I think the Catholic Church in the Philippines is finally drawing the line. It’s either you’re in or you’re out. And like Ilyn says, this is not the proper way of reaching out to their flock. It forces us to draw our own lines, and I truly hate it if it comes down to this.

I think the leadership of the Catholic Church in this country has a lot to think about this Holy Week. They need to think of the following words: Understanding. Compassion. LOVE. Their actions of late have been so un-Christian that as a Catholic, I am very disappointed.

My EXACT thoughts and feelings when I heard all this. I mean, SERIOUSLY, what the hell? That’s already discrimination. I don’t think God and Jesus teaches us to be like that. :|

I raged so hard of last night’s news. Quote from a priest from the news last night:

“If anyone of you is pro-RH bill, get out of this mass. You are not needed here.”

Seriously, what the hell? I’m neither with or against the RH bill, but seriously. How immature can they get?

this is the first time I wrote my real name on the comment page, maybe next time I could use my internet name or my nickname…

read your wife’s post and I agree with her.. I do hope that leaders of the Church gets a wake-up call or they will see their flock diminish as time goes by…

Hindi ata nagbabasa ng rules of war tong mga pare. Won’t matter if they win today, bukas may lalabas at lalabas na ma-push ang RH bill.

“Winning the battle today does not mean you won the war tomorrow.”

Granting manalo sila. So what? Hindi man bukas, sa sususnod na mga taon meron pa ring magpapasa niyan and this time it’s ten times more the size and strength of their power.

Ganon naman sa war eh. Annihilate your enemy and tomorrow you’ll face an even more worse enemy than what you had before.

You can’t destroy hate by using hate. You destroy hate by using love. If you use fire with fire, you get nothing more than more fire.

    *sigh* So sad…

I’m not that too religious-type of a person so I also don’t want to talk/debate about religion as much as possible. But yeah, it sadden me that our leaders of the church is going this far.

I definitely agree to you, guys. Leaders of the Church is getting way too much of this. Whether you’re pro or con, I think every Catholics would probably agree that what our Church did is so wrong…
