A Chance to Talk About Comics

The popularity of the Hey, Baby! video (below), retitled “Lakas Tama ni Manong” on Facebook was great for it gave me the opportunity to talk about Philippine comics to a nationwide audience.

For some reason, this video really took off online, and came to the point that it was even being shown on regular TV. I was invited to one morning show on ANC and although I knew they were inviting me about the video, they were curious enough about my background to allow me to speak about something near and dear to my heart, which is Philippine Comics!

Thanks to TJ, Ron, Gigi, Ginger and everyone at ANC who gave me this opportunity.

    It was great watching this. It’s funny, though…these hosts never got enough infos before asking questions, esp. “Bold Star…” Should we blame the producers and directors? Hehe.

    Anyway, great opportunity to talk about Philippine komiks on TV. Hope to have more talk shows talk about what we love to do and read.

    I must confess this was my first encounter with “Hey Baby!”….a riot….I love it when you were being shussed by Ilyn….that’s gotta crack anyone up. The crew at ANC are okay pala…I like their show…Congratulations Gerry…a coup for you and Filipino Komiks.

    sir gerry! I found an application in facebook titled, ” Payo ni Manong “. Wow. :)
