Wasted Flyer from 1994

A Wasted flyer I photocopied for distribution in 1994, mostly at Platinum Comics at Robinson’s Galleria. Platinum Comics was instrumental in helping kick start Philippine Independent Komiks by providing a venue where creators can showcase their stuff. The store devoted an entire front window to display all sorts of locally made independent comics.
Platinum was even responsible for organizing what would be the very first Independent comics convention one day in 1994. Several creators/groups shared a couple of tables in front of the store in one hour shifts to sell and promote their creations.
It’s probably the day that many of us met each other. I certainly remember meeting Budjette Tan, Arnold Arre, David Hontiveros, probably even Carlo Vergara during this day.
I’ve set up a special WASTED only page at Facebook which you can find here.
I’ll be updating it several times a week with stuff from the Wasted archive (like this). You can also ask me any question you like about Wasted on the page’s Wall, and I’ll answer every question. See you there…

We didn’t meet at that time, but I was there when Carlo Vergara doing the signing for Flash Point(???). At was at night I think. Inggit ako noon, kasi ganda ng covers nila, at di ako makabili ng copy. I was in college back then.
ahh nostalgia! i miss the alamat days! as a young high school student way back, it was cool that younger artists like us could mingle and get a sneak peek of comics artworks from our more professional kuya’s. will “become a fan”!
