Gerry and Macoy,

Size: 6" x 9"; Bond paper (not the glossy type that I prefer); Black and white comics; Cover needs improvement. The illustrations are marvelous! The Arturo character in Lapu-lapu looks like Fernando in El Indio.

The back cover says that copyright belongs to Atlas Publishing Co., Inc., (#6 21st Ave. Cubao, QC, tel # 9129652 - 60). The Editor is Terry C. Bagalso; Assoc Editor: Jocelyn J. Domingo. Fidel Pestan~o, Jayson Vega, and Divine Grace Bongolan were the ones who collected and prepared the comics.

Gerry, among the NBS and Powerbook stores I went to -- only NBS Sta Rosa has this Lapu-lapu comic book.

The back cover shows 5 cover pictures of stories that I think Atlas would like to republish (Seems that Barbaro is one of those stories).

Gerry,

I was looking for a copy of El Indio at NBS, Paseo de Sta Rosa -- instead I found a copy of Conching's Lapu-Lapu (complete series) published by Atlas. This comic book costs P120. (I finally got a copy of El Indio yesterday at Powerbooks, SM Megamall, though).

I'm happy with my copy of Lapu-lapu. However, I wish that it was published in the same way as El Indio.

Rommel, I went around bookstores last Monday, and I found that EL INDIO was readily available in all National branches I went to, including "Booksellers" in Robinson's Galleria, which I suppose is owned by National as well. It's usually located in the Philippine Publications section, and they're usually arranged by author alphabetically.

Wow! I hope the books become available at bookstores soon. I bought El Indio and it was wonderful. I hope Vibal publishes more comics from this era. :)

Louie, since the book is fresh out of the press, it will initially be available only at the launching. Because of red tape, it will take a month or so before it appears at bookstores. Already EL INDIO is starting to appear in branches of National Bookstore and Powerbooks, a couple of months after the book launched.
