Just got back from The College of St. Benilde. Unfortunately, I didn’t arrive early enough to meet James Jean. It’s a Monday, and it’s always murder to go to Manila from the provinces on a Monday because of all the hordes of students and workers who all have the same idea.

I did make it for the comics Q&A panel in the afternoon with Philip Tan, Ernest Jocson, Carlo Pagulayan, Jay David Ramos, Harvey Tolibao, and Heubert Michael. Steven Segovia and Jason Paz remained in the audience. Thanks to Fully Booked for the book. Thanks to Philip for the pens!

Went to Megamall in search of ink cartridges for my A3 Canon printer. The Canon showroom in Megamall is where I actually got the printer in the first place, but for some horrifying reason, they didn’t have a stock of the ink available. I’m like WTF Canon? Since the A3 printer is not a common thing, it was equally hard to find stocks of it in the other computer stores in Megamall. But I couldn’t go home without those inks because I wouldn’t be able to print out the pages from Leinil I have to ink. Scouring Megamall, I finally found a store that sold the black cartridge (the color cartridges were easier to find.), and stocked up on 2 right away.

The air con on the bus back home was so freezing I was afraid I was going to get hypothermia.

Just bring along your print cartridges and have them refilled via Inkman or other ink refilling stations. It’s certainly ten times more affordable than buying the originals. Of course the quality of the ink wouldn’t be as good but that shouldn’t be a problem if you’re gonna ink over your 30% cyan printouts.

Problem is, I had my ink cartridge for en Epson printer refilled, like everyone was doing. Unfortunately, it didn’t result in success for us. It wrecked the printer and from then on we thought, never again.

    Gerry,
Notice how Canon Printers are always on sale, but the ink cartridges, never… hehehe, that’s how they make money. I got a new Canon Pixma for $29. The ink cartridges for it for color and B&W amounts to $45 together.
    You can’t win.
