Signing At Sputnik!, Cubao X

Sputnik! Signing

Sputnik! Comics Shop in Cubao X will have it’s first signing event today, Saturday, November 14, 2009. It will feature three of the next generation of comic book creators, Gio Paredes, Macoy Tan and Josel Nicolas.

I’ve already written reviews of their comics, specially Macoy and Josel, who have impressed me with the peculiar sensibilities of their comics, which are outside the norm. Macoy has a pretty good grasp of storytelling, and has the makings of a really great cartoonist. Josel, on the other hand, creates these mind bombs in neat little packages of words and pictures. Lastly, Gio gives us his own brand of superhero fun.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it. I have a ton of work, and more importantly, the signing starts at 8:30pm and that’s usually when the last bus for San Pablo leaves in the bus terminal next door.
