Fermin,
nasa magulang talaga yan eh..

Auggie,
Tama ka, I've been there and nobody even looks at the exhibit.
Hahahahaha. I was trying to find one for Eva Cassidy (favorite ko) to become a fan of, and I couldn't find one.
Fermin,
Sana nga makarating dito sa L.A. Magandang ideya ang traveling show.

Gerry,

Even if both parents were immigrants from RP, their children will eventually have English as their 1st language -- because of the culture that at really young age children tend to spend less and less time with their parents. Until later, much later, these Fil-Ams (that really have 100% Pinoy blood) may, hopefully, (re)discover their Philippine roots, and may even visit RP to satisfy their curiousity and be amazed with the culture that they've missed.

In one episode of "NO RESERVATION" by Anthony Bourdain there's this one US-born guy with pure Filipino blood who toured the Philippines by accident and for unexplainable reason found so much attachment that he started promoting the Philippines as a tourist destination, and thus to Anthony Bourdain of that travel show. But he does not speak any Philippine language. Imagine a Pinoy-looking guy who will ask anyone in a Philippine street in English?

Rod,

Tama ang observations mo pagdating sa EXHIBITS. Dapat talaga, they should be stopped on their tracks at ma-grab ang attention.

I don't know exactly what goes in the exhibit, but I can guess there will be a few originals, and a lot more blown up covers and other artwork. I think they will move the exhibit to Hawaii after this.

Sa totoo lang Fermin, from what I learn from doing my You Tube videos (which seem to have a lot of Fil-Am viewers) is that a lot of young Filipino-Americans are hungry to learn Tagalog, and some of them are kind of frustrated that it was never spoken in their home.

Pero who knows?
