Dengcoy Miel is really a cerebral cartoonist. This man is a genius. If there is someone who can step on the shoes of the great Larry Alcala, then Dengcoy Miel is the man. It’s good that his works are now being exhibited here in the Philippines.
hi gerry, this is very much off topic, but i was wondering if u could share some thoughts about the kirby estate’s recent move to reclaim the copyright for some of marvel’s key characters.
Gabby, I don’t think the Kirby estate truly wants to take those characters away from Marvel. Marvel is the one’s been using them the best. I believe it’s simply a ploy to negotiate for a bigger cut of the pie, specially with regards to the movies. I don’t blame them, and it’s only perfectly right that they do so because Kirby played a huge part in coming up with these characters in the first place.
Deng Coy Miel is a great cartoonist. Idol.
