Komikero Meeting on August 30, 2009

I’m moving this blog post up to remind interested people about the upcoming Komikero meeting this Sunday.

How does one become a member of the Komikero Artists Group? The requirements are simple, really. You don’t even have to know how to draw. You just need to have an enthusiastic interest in art, comics, movies, and all that geeky stuff.

Don’t come to the meeting then complain we talk about comics too much, like one of you did. Uh, HELLO? Like I’ve repeated often enough before, this is not a “Komikero from You Tube Fans Club” because such a thing doesn’t exist. The Komikero Artists Group is a group created in 2003 among artists and comics fans, so we could hang out and share our interest in these things. If you are not even remotely interested in comics, DON’T COME.

Oh yeah, the most important requirement is that you have to attend at least ONE meeting, and that’s here in San Pablo. Where exactly here? Click on the image or here for the map. IGNORE Area C. We hang out mostly at Area B.

We start to gather at 10am onwards. You don’t have to be there at 10am. Just drop by at any time of the day. Lunchtime you can catch us at the restaurant beside and at the bottom of the big stairs. If it’s raining, you can catch us at Cafe Lago beside one of the parks in Area B.

Bring your drawing materials, portfolio and if you’re NEW, bring extra underwear and a towel. he.he.

    Sali na si Caparas. The requirements are simple, he doesn’t have to draw (he’s good at this). And he’s enthusiastic about comics and movies. And art? Will two out of the three do it, Gerry? Please, please, please.

    Definitely not. There was a time that female members outnumbered the guys. In this particular meeting, I think we have confirmed 2 female Komikeros attending.
