I woke up today to news that former Philippine President Corazon Aquino has passed away after a long battle with cancer. Having been a strong supporter of her and Ninoy even during the Marcos era, I feel sad at the passing of a great and wise leader.

She and Ninoy were heroes of mine, and are huge personal inspirations. The Filipino is truly worth dying for, and I hope that one day we may prove worthy of it.

Thank you, Tita Cory, for everything.

The Philippine icon who sparked democracy during the Marcos era will be sorely missed. It’s a good thing that you had such a moment with her, Sir Gerry.
    Condolences to the Aquino family…

I wholeheartedly agree with you, she and Ninoy were real heroes & inspirations. We never forget them. In heaven, I’m sure she is happy to see Ninoy again. <3

Hay… onli in da Pilipins. I am just totally disillisioned by everything that’s happening in RP.
