The time is fast approaching for indisputably the biggest event in Philippine comics all year round. I’ve always enjoyed myself during this particular event, but I think this year I might not be there for the entire day. It falls on a Saturday and I have classes in Manila in the afternoon. I just might have to talk to someone about it. The Komikon after all, is an extension of the reason why I’m in the comics business. I consider it an essential part of my career in comics.

” I have classes in Manila,” are you currently enrolled in graduate school or are you teaching ? well, in any case, it’s good to be back in the academe. Saang university naman ito ?

Auggie, I’ll be teaching comics at Benilde. :)

Wow ! mi ganyang course na ba ngayon ? mahigpit ba ang hiring requirements sa Benilde ? like maghahanap sila ng certain number of units earned in a masteral program , bago ka bigyan ng teaching assignment ?

I just want to comment on the Komikon poster. Mukhang mas marami pang Manga-inspired characters kaysa yung talagang Pinoy? Except for El Indio, Voltar and Payaso the other true icons identified with Philipine Komiks are missing. Maybe the organizers should rethink this poster, parang komiks convention sa Japan and dating.

This is my first time to join the Komikon.
Paano po ba makakuha ng table so I can sell my komiks?
Sino po ba ang dapat kausapin?

Randy: Ang dami mo talagang naririnig! Seriously, siguro kasi first time lang nilang magkasama sa isang event. Sana ma-resolve nila agad.

Hindi na ako nagtaka sa poster kasi Groundbreakers are more on manga-style.

  13. auggie on August 1st, 2007 9:34 am

  14. Garro on August 1st, 2007 5:02 pm

Gio, dito yung Komikon portal http://komikon.blogspot.com ^_^ I think you can leave a comment or note them sa Deviantart account nila.

@Robby: I agree with you, Robby…nakakahilo yung sobrang sikip at cluttered na poster.
