The article is realistically true. Philippine comic industry has had it’s glorious era, but it has already lost it’s luster. I hope deep in my heart that it will be revived, even though not that glorious as it used to be but only well enough to reestablish the true komiks medium that is truly Filipino

Very comprehensive ang essay ni Dr. Lent. Pero ang bottom line niya eh dahil daw sa globalization, eh na ho-homogenized ang lahat ng global products including the Comics. Kaya kapareho ng McDonalds, na halos lahat na na dako ng mundo ay andoon na at pare-pareho ang lasa, ganoon din ang comics na ang global visage eh yung MANGA nga….

But dahil sa PKMB ni Gerry A., it need not go that way. We can buck the trend by studying the legacy left by our Golden Age Masters, which PKMB is championing the cause. Kudos to Gerry for that.
