You’re right. I think he had a short appearance there though. I was thinking of a full-length graphic novel. BTW, Leinil is indeed doing a series now with just two Super-Heroes – Hulk vs Wolverine, I just picked up the latest issue, and his illustrations are amazing. I’d like to feature him again, but he was just featured recently. I need to feature other Pinoy artists as well. Harvey Tolibao and Philip Tan are next.

Yep, I think Leinil’s pencil work on Secret Invasion was different from his work here in High Roads maybe because he got to draw a whole lot of characters in Secret Invasion and maybe because he had little time to finish them. I mean..that’s a whole lot of Marvel Heroes including a whole lot of Skrulls with a whole lot of action. Almost every page in the series had different characters in it. A lot of panels even had a couple or a bunch of characters squeezed in it compared to what a regular non-secret invasion comic issue would have and it went on from the first issue up until the last.

I’d like to see that too. And less encumbered by so many Super Heroes. Leinil must be seeing Super Heroes in his sleep. I’m featuring Super Heroes as drawn by Pinoys in my blog, but I still can’t get all of the heroes straight. Marvel has too many super heroes. Sure would like to see Leinil do Batman (at least there’s only one) and maybe another Superman, then inked and colored by Gerry and Edgar Tadeo.

Ah yes, I’d agree that this was indeed one of Leinil’s best pencil work. It’s like much effort and time has been put into it. Sweet inks and colors too. I wish to see the same Filipino comic professionals do a project again in the future.

One of Leinil’s best pencilling jobs. And of course inking and coloring were superb. As the reviewer says: the script by Lobdell allows Yu to “breath a little” as oppose to the latest he’s been doing where he’s pressed for time and has to cram several superheroes together. I actually bought this comics a few years ago not knowing all the illustrators were Pinoy. I was incredulous to find out you were Pinoys. It was strange as I was sure the illustrator was European, maybe French. BTW, Leinil will be in the San Diego Comic-Con this summer as a special guest, check out my blog for the Comic-Con news.

Gerry, ang tagal ko ng merong Trade paperback nito pero I don’t know kung bakit hanggang ngayon di ko pa natatapos basahin hehehehe.. ANg ganda kasing pagmasdan lang yung artwork eh. Mukhang busy ka ngayon ah. Good luck sa kung ano mang project na ginagawa mo.
