Woke up this morning and we didn’t have any dial tone. I thought, we can’t be disconnected, we’re all paid up. I went to my parents’ house to call and it’s ringing. I went outside and nothing seems to be down. What’s going on?

I did a couple of strips, which you can see at my webcomics page later today and tomorrow, and went to our local PLDT office to report it. They said they’d get to it.

“They’d get to it.”

That probably means I won’t have a phone…. and a connection to the Internet for quite a while. Who knows, if it’s possible for a river to part to let Moses and thousands of people cross, it’s quite possible that PLDT could fix my phone within the week. But that’s pushing it. Me encountering a burning bush which talks to me with the disembodied voice of Charlton Heston seems more likely.

If the phone doesn’t get fixed soon, I won’t be online for a while. I can’t be arsed to go to town everytime I need to go online. I just have too much to do.

Ha ha. Asa ka pa, Gerry. Sobrang bulok ng customer service ng PLDT. Noon, nasira ang phone namin ng THREE WEEKS. That was last December. Three weeks of reporting and nothing happening. When it finally got fixed, we were assured we’ll be getting a refund (biro mo, halos isang buwan kang walang telepono tapos babayaran mo pa?) We kept calling them to remind them of the refund due to us. Alam mo kung kelan kami finally na-refund? Late last month. Halos HALF A YEAR bago kami na-refund! At magkano ang refund? A measly 170pesos.

So siguro, next month mo na mababasa ang comment na ito.
