Wasted in Russian

I received an interesting fanzine today (in PDF) from Russia where they had translated Wasted into Russian. The title of the fanzine is RCFZ (Russian Comics Fan-Zine).. Browsing through the fanzine it looks like a pretty well made mag with, I assume, articles on Russian comics as well as reviews of American and European comics. The entire first issue of Wasted is translated here, and will be serialized in the fanzine until it finishes.

All that of course, is with my permission. Gratefully given. I’m so stoked that my work is being read in different languages. It’s kind of weird when I think about it, but weird in a good way.

Thanks to Mikhail Ivanov for the interest in my work, and for spreading it in places I never expected it would go.

    Woah! Parang mas tumindi ang dating pag different writing ah. Parang napaka brutal ng comics mo in Russian characters. Pati name mo! Wow! :P

    Gerry, thank you very much for posing this and most of all for doing great comics that inspire so much.

    WASTED has been one of my favourite comic books since 2003 when I first read it. Keep up the good work!

    wow! galeng! mas maiintindihan ko na ang wasted! hehehe.

    una ko pa lang nkita ang wasted a long time ago, naisip ko na na pang international to!

    maybe we should start spoken in english so that international readers of this blog can understand us more!

    Mas bagay na bagay sa foreign language mas ASTIG!!!! Meron naman ako dito ka gerry isang chapter ng Superman Birthright comics in german language nabili ko pa mismo sa germany doon ko lang nalaman na may gawa kayo ni leinil :)

    I can read it like I know how each letter sounds but unfortunately, I can’t understand it.

    Wow, just some days ago, you wrote about how some foreigners reacted when they find out that you’re a Filipino. I’m glad that this came out to counter that!

    I wonder how many Filipino comics out there get translated to other languages.
